71 440 3.23 Suregrip Custom Suburban

tag says M4F7

I think your tag says H4F7 -- AFAICT, from the info on the Hamtramck Registry, there is no M4 option on 1971 Suburbans / Custom_ / Sport_ -- even though the color palette does mention both H4 and M4, I don't see M4 that choice among the various choices of seats.

hmmm you are right, its an H not M and i noticed a discrepancy- look at the trim book pic i posted from a pic i saved a couple of years ago - it calls it M2F7, different from the 1 now on hamtramck

Hi Mark, thank you for sharing this. Your wagon instantly got my attention as our 67 Fury II wagon too has buckets and console. Here is the build thread on it. The seats are 1967 and the console is a 1969.

New '67 Fury II Station Wagon Interior

Also, we have a 1973 Custom Suburban wagon that looks pretty much identical in color on the outside as yours.

One more thing, as other folks here said please get rid of that wannabe "friend" of yours. He does not sound like a true friend to me if he wants your car to flip it.

@SportFury70 , that 67 wagon's interior is beautiful, wish mine looked half as nice !
great post to read and inspire.
nice 73, looks like yours has a parchment or gold tan interior ? wish mine had the tan/gold.
got some pics ?
im not crazy about my green interior w tan paint combo, tan wouldnt have been my 1st pic but
im not going to change the paint color. ive gotten used to it and its flaws.
not sure if i will get around to putting the 70 power dome hood on or doing a 70 or 71 hidden headlight grille.
yeah, i cut the connection with the "friend", he's gotten known for the 1 sided friendship thing esp in the b body world

Thank you I appreciate that, it means a lot. Your console is from a '69 Sport Fury right, isn't the console supposed to be woodgrain? I believe they started doing that in that year

The car is a Sahara Beige exterior color, has a 360 4bbl (used to be 2bbl), and has the Brougham interior package interior. I believe that the interior color is beige although it looks whiteish. If you would like a couple pictures of that interior, I suppose I could get some for you when I have the chance

Here are some pictures of the big beige '73 wagon you asked for, just got it out of hibernation yesterday. The interior is the Brougham package and is technically beige like the rest of the car, but some of it which is mainly the seats is white. Last picture is of the engine compartment

its 1 of 436 canadian market fury custom suburban 2 seat wagons ( 325 were 3 seat)
its 1 of 12 L1 beige canadian cs wagons
its 1 of 2 canadian 440 cs wagons

i do have a 70 power dome hood and 71 &0 hidden headlight grilles that i have been thinking about installing
In all honesty, being that rare it should be put back to factory original.
But that is just my opinion.
