Old Man with a Hat
I've had my '68 Dodge D100 pickup for seven years this month. Added a Fargo tailgate and emblems to it, she's pretty much sorted out, other than rocker rust and couple of other spots. Paint is original/primer. Done lots to it over the years.
My neighbor about a mile away, is a Mopar nut and has always liked my blue truck. He has three later Dodge trucks he wants to trade to me for the '68 - an '88 D350 SRW 4x2, a '78 D150 and a very straight '72 W150 Power Wagon. All LWB trucks with 360 automatics. No A/C in the '78. All are about 30 minutes each from running/driving. All titled.
So, once he can find the papers on the W150, I do believe we've got a deal. The plan is to build the W150 into a nice truck, and utilize the '78 as a parts truck. The D350 will become my grunt truck, doing all the dirty jobs, and towing.
In all my excitement today, I didn't take a single picture. I'll get some later In the week. I think it's a pretty fair deal, especially that the "Lifestyle" series (72-'78) are picking up in value. Can't go wrong with a Power Wagon.
I've had the Fargo seven years today. Time to move on to more fun. I know, I've been bitchin' about "too many irons in the fire"...yeah yeah yeah. A Power Wagon has my name on it! Some dash work and a new seat is really all that truck needs! Nice wheels/tires will help, too, of course.
