This is the "complex style"version as sold to me by Torqflite Patty. I'll let you all know how it works Friday night after it's installed!

Change the shift lever and the throttle lever seals while it's apart.

A bolt and nut with fender washers makes installation easy.

See business card in picture.
I did catch that....but the internet says his shop is permanently closed, his ebay store is closed as well...and seeing as he died in 09/2019 (google?)...I kinda figured he wasnt selling anything.

If he died, then he got better! He and I were communicating Saturday, as that's when my part came. We weren't using a Ouija board either!

Well I'm guessing I have the wrong pat blais....just couldn't find any info. Sometimes the internet has too much info to find what I need.

If anyone can refresh my memory as to how to retrofit this into a 66 model year 727 - I know it takes some sort of modification in addition.
I've never done one, but maybe you can just put a later model valve body in it? Someone else needs to verify the newer VB can go in without more modifications (I only know about the spline count difference for the converter.)

IMO there's very few simpler, cheaper, more impactful mods you can do to one of these cars. Makes a 2.76 geared car behave like a 3.55 geared car when getting that non-WOT kickdown.

I did a bit more research and looked up what Pat Blais says - it is possible to retrofit into a 66 727. At some point I'd like to do it.
If it's like my '65, and I assume it might be, you use the upper portion of a newer valve body with the lower portion you have.

I hesitated to post about it before, as mine is done this way because of the '65 cable shift. I don't know what is different about the '66 compared to the '67 and up that Blais' kit says it fits.

The absolute best thing to do is contact Blais. He's extremely knowledgeable about them and can fix you up with the right parts for a decent price.
