Cruising the local on-line buy/sell and found a couple things I wanted for my new shop. I now have room to start filling it with even more junk! :D

Went to pick up a set of oxy/accet regulators and two lengths (25' and 50') of hose. Got talking to the guy and he tossed in a couple half full tanks for free!

Now I have to see if I can get them refilled, or if/when they need to re-certified.

Then drove over and picked up a couple car ramps. I have been looking for a set of these in red for a while for nostalgic reasons...my Grandfather and Father had a set we used when my brother and I were first getting into old cars. They eventually died in a big shop fire.

Nice score. A few years ago my family all pitched in at Christmas and got me a small oxy / cetelene torch set. It's not something I get to use every time I work on a car but boy does it come in handy when I need it. I still have my ramps but the only thing I can use them for is my Fury or my Suburban. The newer stuff is just too low to the ground.

I had a set when we lived in Michigan. Just for changing the 3 blades on my ZTR Mower. That Bad Boy would drive right up on those ramps and gave perfect access for all 3 blades. Put a strip of green tape around that impact socket so it jumped out at me from all the other impacts without ever grabbing the wrong size. Tough to be laying on your back on the concrete with the wrong size socket, lol

I feel your pain.

I still have my set I bought in the seventies. Those and a sheet of plywood was my "shop" for years.

I took my whole car apart and put it back together with these and jack stands. I think they were a high school graduation present.
Note the rubber strips to attempt to keep them from sliding on concrete. They make an awful sound when they slide.

I retired them with my creeper last weekend.

That is a nice 4 post hoist! I have a 2 post hoist waiting to go in, just have to find the time to get to it. Busy right now cutting and splitting firewood, then have summer projects I have to get too before the temps drop and snow starts to fly. Probably be winter before I get to installing the hoist, but I look forward to it that is for sure!

@HWYCRZR...I like your corrugated metal around your shop! What height did you go to and is that just a stained wood trim along the top edge? Thinking this might be a good addition to my shop walls. ;)

The tin is about 3’ tall. I bought 12’ sheets and cut them down to get 4 sections out of each.
The wood is actually rough cedar picket fencing. 6’ or 8’ work, ripped in 1/2.
For the color it is actually faux weathering. 1/2 vinegar 1/2 water, rip up some steel wool maybe a couple of tea bags. Shake it up and let it set for a a couple of days to let the steel wool rust and color the solution. Then either use weed sprayer bottle or a big brush and slather it on. The vinegar and rust react with the cedar and darken it. I did a bedroom accent wall with cedar pickets (just cut the dog ears off) mainly it is cheap and light weight and gives the weathered look.
