Yes most scots were given 100 acres to make the move. My ancestors as well.

That's what Finlay got! Dated 1840. I just started reading this book, from the same author of "How the Scots invented Canada", which is a great book. Flight of the Highlanders is proving to be a harder read, due to its brutal content.

Are you saying that there were a number of car's like this imported to Finland in 1970?

Yes. IIRC, there were 11 New Yorkers, and 17 Newports imported to Finland in 1970. One single 300, and one Imperial. All were ordered from the factory.
Most New Yorkers and Newports were sold to big industrial companies, to be used as chaffeured drives of their top brass. Some were sold to the Finnish State, to be used by our government. Alas, all those cars were black. Usually with a blue cloth interior. (Just as the ’71 NYer Sedan that is for sale.) Some had maroon interior, at least one had the beige/ivory interior, but most of the time they were blue.
The odd ones that were ordered as family cars in ’70 had color: my father’s NYer 4dHT was maroon, the single 300 2d HT was sand color, the single Imp 4dHT was white. But the majority were black sedans.

Thanks for sharing that information. Sounds like you have a rich history of Chrysler's! Cheers!
