Carlisle 2020 Official Thread

So many folks I had hoped to meet this year that aren't going. Unfortunate. maybe next year. Only my second year there so I'm still super excited.

I've been attending the Chrysler nationals at Carlisle since it's first year. And spring/fall Carlisle since the 70's. I still get excited about going. It never gets old.

Y'all flapping your lips trying to define "Metric".
Everybody knows the history of metrics, OK?
As Big John said above, we started using it here to distinguish the new Challengers. I'm pretty sure Ross @Stormer used it first referring to his race monster.
Do I dis "metrics"? Hell no. I bought two new Corvettes and found out the owners were all effing a-holes and was sorry I bought them. Right now I'm lusting for a Hellcat but that got run over by a Kubota, which is Metric.
None of the "Metric" owners here appear to be of that stupid fan-Boi mentality.
Well, at least none of them are admitting if they bought the programmable multi-colored LED lighting and leave them flashing in the daylight at the shows.
Damn, looks like I’ve missed some good feuding around here. I didn’t coin the phrase metric to describe my 1400 HP 2009 Challenger with heated seats and a sub-woofer (no leds or any other non-go-fast parts). It was first used as attempted hate speech. I would have reported it to the moderators but they were all idiots at the time. I also thought it was hilarious and perfectly descriptive....

BTW, project was delayed because 6 people in the engine shop had corona. **** is highly contagious. Unless you watch Fox News or look like Rick Flair, then you should be fine.

You should see the trailer I’m having built to haul it in. :usflag:

That’s a discontinued shingle. Certainly hope the insurance company paid for that.

Discontinued the use asphalt in shingles.
Hell they don't even smell bad when you open the package. No more 25-35 years at 15 you should be planning when to change them or praying for a storm so the insurance company can pick up the tab.
My next roof is metal and I'll be blowing in the wind when that one wears out.
