I took the wagon in this morning for a front wheel alignment .The techs called me in to see what they found in the subframe on the drivers side when they under the car making the adjustments.Their alignment setup is a pit they drive the car on so they can get underneath.Passenger side was completly clear. They blew out both sides with compressed air they got a lot of road dirt and on drivers side the foam and small acorns also. Could be a chimpmunk ? I got to find their source of building materials. Any suggestions what it could be.

Looks like seat stuffins, or a lot of headliners have that above them for sound isolation too.

Something made a home it looks like. That’s one of the reasons I put mouse repellant around my garage. Hope the alignment turned out well.

i have traps around the garage and put about a box of dryer sheets through out inside the car & the engine compartment during the winter. I think the fact that i did not move the car for 3 or 4 months might have given them the chance to build. The alignment was done to spec but there is a issue with the steering box it continues to pull to the left they said it probably needs replaced. Looking into that now.

I pulled the back seat out & checked under the front seat and found no evidence of mice or any of their building material .i pulled the carpet in the back seat up some and found another build sheet it is intact but looks like it was soaked in oil and is intact. From what I could see of the floors they looked pristine and still red and shiny.
In my original post dose the pictures look like something that might be behind the headliner as insulation.
