First drive in 40 years s!

If you're still with Allstate, time to start shopping around. I was with them for around a decade. One year they checked my driver's abstract, which wasn't great at the time. So they upped my rates. I checked around and got a way better deal elsewhere, with the same abstract. So I took it, and told my Allstate agent, who I liked, know. She told me "loyalty doesn't pay in the insurance game".
Been with them for 36 years with no plan on changing. Been in 23 accidents; my rates have never raised! 11 Tickets with the same results. Currently being sued for an accident I was in in February '18. Allstate has been great.

It was my Allstate Agent who suggested I register the Newport and the Gremlin with Hagerty.

Why would I consider leaving?

To get a better rate? It was my Allstate agent who told me "loyalty doesn't pay in the insurance game" she was right, and completely understood why I was leaving after a decade. It's well worth the time to make a couple calls.

23 collisions? There are no accidents in the insurance game. That seems like a lot.

It kinda sounds like to me-that you shouldn't be allowed to drive anymore.

That's just it, no one can touch what Allstate offers me for the price. I've had many companies try, including a long-time friend of mine who is a Broker.

When you consider that I have $50 deductibles, which Allstate can't take from me because I have been with them for so long, no one can beat the price.

There is something else to consider also. How well will that cheaper company cover you in a time of loss or accident? My Daughter learned that lesson when she left Allstate to "save money." She was in an accident within four months of leaving, and learned just what Allstate does for you in times like these. I have never had to wait more than two days for a repair to be started, unless the shop was booked tight. My Daughter had to wait two months, and that was after fighting the company to respond to her claim.

The cliche "You get what you pay for" is quite correct when it comes to your insurance policy. I'll keep with the better company, even if it might cost me more.

I wasn't saying "Leave Allstate!", simply suggesting it may be worth shopping around. Sounds like it's worth sticking with them, for you. As far as the handling of claims goes, there are alot of variables there. I know a guy who just got into a minor collision in a parking lot. The other driver claimed full responsibility. They exchanged info, hey, we both have the same insurance company! That should make things easier! Nope, even though the one driver claimed responsibility, when they told their stories, they were both in reverse, and because of that, both responsible. I would think if they weren't both with the same company, the main focus point would be the one drivers admission.

Don't assume they were all my fault.

I certainly wasn't. Even if none of them were your fault, that seems like alot.

Well she let me down, blown ujoint....they were tight but I should of replaced them... My fault

They can't take away $50 deductibles? Says who?
If they want, they can.
