Losing the front bench was easy enough on the Monaco, just 4 nuts under the floor. I can’t really figure it out for the rear though. I vaguely remember seeing Lucky Costa being able to lose the bottom cushion but keep the backrest in while doing carpet on his 66 Fury wagon. Can I do the same here?

On the part where the rear footwell slopes back up I see this bolt and nut. Is that the key?

Lower rear seat cushion- Push to rear of car about 2 inches, then lift, then pull toward you.
Once its out you've exposed the bolts holding the back in. Remove, then push up to remove.

Nope. That looks like a seat belt mount. There are no bolts holding the rear seat bottom in the car. The upright seatback is held in with two bolts on the bottom and the frame of the upright is held in place by a couple of sheet metal hooks that catch the frame. Same hook idea with the seat bottom:

From inside the car, you need to push the rear seat bottom towards the rear of the car quite firmly. It is held in place by a pair of "hooks" welded to the floor that catch the frame of the seat bottom. Once clear of the hooks you can lift it up and out.

However, you will need to remove the armrests to make it easier.

He's already gotten in out with the armrests still in place.
Well, not really... the car came without the drivers side rear armrest or window crank. PO probably took them out when putting in these seats that aren’t the correct color and didn’t put em back. That’s still a debate I’m having, if I should have the seats done up in red or just keep it black and only have to fix the front bench

Hey I just went to take the back out and can’t see the bolts for it anywhere. Any pointers as to where to to look? Thanks

Could it be here? There’s no bolts there. That would be in line with the quality of the swap jobs the PO did.
