Another cool car beat to death by the collective.
I will suggest instead of guessing about cop cars one should go read the cop car documentation produced by Chrysler back then. One will learn that real cop cars like this one came in several different iterations but they are still cop cars.
This is a cop car like it or not.
You guys are very good at anal-izing everything beyond reality on here and again you have proved your affliction is alive and well.

This car’s options indeed seem to match the info on The Hamtramck Registry re: 1971 Dodge cop cars. Any other links you can provide, or references you could suggest, would be most welcome. Thanks in advance!

Maybe a lurker bought it. The board is loaded with them. Fortunately it should have sold for enough that it will be kept intact.

I read N code and saw this photo

and I knew exactly what it was. If everyone would have shut up it could have been bought for half of what it sold for.

Thats ok .... I really needed a reason not to.

Full horn ring, usually for police and some other fleet applications.

Dave

Correct, white 71 sedan in Wa State ? N code ? with a blue interior? with the full horn ring ?with rear defogger? Let's blow that up and look at the speedo numbers and count backwards. ...

:BangHead: not enough lifetime left in me.

I'm on the B body site, and I have never seen the super code analyzing I see here. It's pretty amazing.

speaking only for myself ... if you profess to "love" the objects of your hobby, seems you would wanna know what the "creator" (e.g., designer, car company/factory) had in mind when they made it.

Translation for me: Yes, I care about that coding stuff. To me, its the essence of thing I want in my garage. Long as I don't beat other folks over the head with it, I enjoy the hobby by the "numbers".

I am also ok (cuz i am that way about many things - "planes, trains, and automobiles") if people just luv 'em by the way they look, and how well they were taken care of, and don't care so much about the "numbers" -- adoration in its most basic form is cool too to me :)
