1973 Chrysler New Yorker Junker

Thank you for the photo. The filigree inserts on my '73 NYB are also somewhat faded, and unfortunately these would not be an improvement. They could be good purchases as insurance, but I'd rather leave them to someone who might need them.

May I ask for one more favor? Is there a part number at the back of any/all of the mouldings?

I can check for you and let you know, sure.

Could you possibly take a picture of it for me?
Here is a pic of the axle, no scaley rust anywhere, backing plates are nice.

Any idea what gear ratio that is? What kind of price you looking for and where are you located at and possible shipping would probably be horrible i suppose?

Pretty sure it is 3.21 ratio but will check it. The unit is $100, gets it out of my way, lol. Im not sure how you would ship it, I am in Greenville NC

Do you have a fastenal anywhere near you? I think they do larger scale shipping perhaps.... that's a good question though.

@Wollfen: do you still have the gas tank filler tube (aka the gas filler neck -- which I believe is P/N 3642031) from your '73 NYer?

Yeah there is a fastenal, I will need to find something to strap it to like a pallet though, they wont accept it bare, let me check today.e

Soory I took the pic, uploaded it then forgot to post it here. here is the pic of the filler neck it is solid but the antisiphon plate inside is a bit rusty. Check the pics, I wire wheeled the part on the end as it had some surface rust on it, doesn't look bad to me.

I checked and do have a pallet it can be strapped to but i don't know a way to get it weighed for shipping cost, its a 30 mile round trip to Fastenal for me. Maybe someone on here knows of the weight of one of these or there is a website giving weights?

Gary: I know the disc brake stuff is long gone from this car, but do you know whether or not the calipers are the same for both '72 and '73 Chryslers? I have a little project going on where I need a rebuilt left front caliper for a '73, and currently, '73 LF calipers are unobtainable; I can't even find a new caliper piston for a '73. I have a '72 LF caliper I bought from you a few years ago, and I was hoping it would work on a '73. . .

Thank you very much for the pictures! Mine is somewhat rusted too, but let me see whether it can be brought back to a similar condition before I make a decision. I should be able to revert by next weekend if that's OK?

I say trail fit it if you can, I cant imagine why it would be different. The only thing that changed in 73 was the rotors and bearing diameters as far as i remember. I don't have a 73 unit here to check.

Replacement piston for a 73,

Gary: Thank you! Thank you! I swear I checked with Summit, RockAuto and everybody else yesterday, and no one had the pistons or a left caliper. I just ordered two on the pistons from Summit. Thanks again. Rip

PS: I haven't forgotten about that power seat setup you are holding for me. I should be coming soon to get it; I'm almost ready to put my interior back together, as soon as I get the rear quarter window motors back from JC Restorations.
