Thanks for the link. In fairness to this NYB:

1. "All new Brakes and rotors, Upper and lower ball joints, Shocks Aluminum radiator, Holly dominator Intake, Rebuilt 750 Holley carb; Equipped with a big block 440 Rebuilt 727 transmission". As always, the question is how good the work was.

2. The pictures you did not post tell another part of the story -- what I see are straight body panels and good chrome, as well as lots of playing around with wheel choices. As long as the suspension has not been messed up with, fine.

This said, I agree that the interior is a puzzle. There was no blue interior on coupes in 1973. So either the dash and wheel were taken off an H7B8 4dr interior, or perhaps the blue color of the dash is an optical illusion. As shown in the salesman pocket book (courtesy of the Hamtramck Registry), the seats in this car suggest the code is G6XW -- white buckets (which must be pretty faded here, as they look cream-colored) and black dash/carpets.

If you browse through the sellers Facebook page you find pictures from 2017 from a distance but you see dark interior. I wouldn't expect someone to install a cracked dash though.

Is this car a brougham? If it's not blue was available or am I wrong?

In 1972 and 1973, a blue interior was available on 4dr NYers and NYBs but not on their 2dr counterparts. So, if the dash is blue, then either it comes from an H7B8 Brougham or an E9B8 "plain" New Yorker.

I agree with you that it is highly unlikely someone would have installed a cracked dash -- which is why I surmise that the blue appearance is a photo artefact. Of course, it is not impossible that the dash and wheel are really blue: perhaps the owner had decided to change the interior to blue all around ran out of the time or money to do so.

Bottom line: if someone gets the tag from the seller and/or gets info about the car's history, please post it here.

Did the Newport have a different speedo than the New Yorker? I thought these cars had a pod style gauge?

Exactly, not only swapping the seats but also the ceiling, door panels and all but then live with a cracked old dash ?
That doesn´t make sense to me

The dash is probably black in person. For some reason when photographed, they always appear blue. Even that black brocade upholstery shows blue when photographed.

I think the color error comes from the blue wedge at the top of the windscreen.
