Give them a call, the pictures I saw looked straight, but I can't be sure. Hot Rod magazine mentioned the stick location hindering flow, but truck Flow didn't want to skimp on thickness in that area.

Here's the thing, I can't start all over looking for yet another set of heads. I don't have unlimited thousands to dump in yet another engine. I've got to keep the costs down while I recover from this screwing I got.

I hear you, and I'd use the 440Source heads like you plan. Just trying to get the correct information, since someone may use it for their own build.

Fix the heads you have. The guides wore out because the run-out on the seats is off so much. It's pretty common in mass produced heads. Less run-out if the manufacturer keeps tabs on equipment in spec. If you have a valve job done on them they will only be as good as the shop would produce with a stock cast iron head.

Important safety tip for the 440 Source heads. Less than 5k on them and the exhaust valve guides are worn out, intake a little tighter. 440 Source does NOT service the valve guides, they are a non-standard OD, and they are a soft material. Will have to machine my heads to accept standard size guides of a harder material.

Well I now have an assembled rotating assembly. And surprise of surprises, I wound up getting a forged crank 440 and not a cast one!
