My small block was built last yr with solid lifters. I just checked out the lash for the 1st time and noticed when bumping the motor over alot more oiling on passenger side as opposed to the driver side. If I remember correctly it's a Melling HV pump in a Milodon 7qt pan. Should I be concerned about driver side not getting enough oiling ? Should there be something I'm looking for ? Oil pressure is good. 60lbs at startup and when warm about 25psi. Thanks

25psi is good pressure at idle, that is not enough for 2k rpms or highway use, should be at least 45psi.. It is not too unusual to have some difference in oiling from right to left or vice versa. The rocker shafts are oiled thru a passage in each head on poly and LA series engines. Magnums are fed thru the push rods. I would suggest pulling the driver side rocker shaft to check the delivery port in the head to be sure that oil is flowing freely to the rocker shaft and that there is not a piece of crud stuck there. Also check to see if the shaft is installed with the spit holes in the proper orientation. If the rockers are throwing plenty of oil at higher rpms the engine should be ok to run as is.

roger that it's about 25 at idle and cruising about 40 . I'll have to pull the shafts to check it out. I did the driver side 1st I thought had adequate oiling then when I started bumping the engine when doing the passenger side there was alot. Had I been turning the motor over by hand it's possible I wouldn't have noticed.

By bump over do you mean literally just enough rotation to get on the base circle for the next valves? You may not have spun it enough to get psi up and oil flowing uniformly.

Well I triple checked since it was my 1st time doing lash . I spun it many times before I buttoned up driver side , then i went to passenger side. Driver side certainly wasnt dry but passenger side seemed was dumping more . I'll pull both covers another day and give them a look, if it's the same deal I'll pull the shaft.
Also I guess its pertinent, I did them cold so the car sat overnight. I guess its possible it finally caught its prime when i went to passenger side.

I would bet a dollar if you did it again cold but started on the pass side you would see the opposite results
