I have a factory air 68 Newport. I bought it disconnected but still has the compressor in place. My heater core recently rusted out and is now also bypassed. So no heat or air. Is there any type of combo unit or do I just need to replace them individually?

If the A/C system was left open, the evaporator and condenser are likely to have jellied, contaminated oil in them. At a minimum these units will need to be pulled, flushed and pressure checked. The RV-2 compressor has a high failure rate running on R-134a, so a conversion to a Sanden style compressor would probably be a better option. There are kits to do this and several posts on this site about the conversion.
The heater core will probably need to be replaced. I do not know of anyone making a combo kit to replace the heater and A/C system.

The ac is most definitely shot. Was just wondering about a combo thing. Heater core was spilling anti freeze into car, deff needs to be replaced. Just more money per usual.

It probably would be best to use OEM-type stuff rather than aftermarket for the "inside" items. MUCH better than trying to adapt an aftermarket system under the dash, which will be "modify to fit" rather than bolt-in. You'll need to pull it all out anyway, so also plan on doing some detail work on the flapper doors and such, for good measure. Plus any gaskets between the case halves. There is a thread or two in here on the water valve itself, how to rebuild it.

It would be a good time to upgrade to the Sanden compressor and related items. Obviously more efficient than the old RV-2 and less drag on the engine.

Download a service manual from www.mymopar.com to help you with the repairs. When done, it'll be worth it.

Keep us posted on your progress,
