I tried to get this car and the hardtop Polara behind it. The owner hadn't seen the car in many years, and had no idea that the storage building he had it in had collapsed years before. I gave him my number when he said he was going to get the car as he had intended to restore it. He arrived with a trailer.... and saw the horror below and gave it to a local yard who said they would get it out of there. I never got a call; I think he was mad at me that I mentioned the building had collapsed.

Nicely optioned, buckets and console, but not much left.

All of the cars in that building were cars that were put away in nice shape, for the most part. Some were abandoned for non-payment, and some were just forgotten or assumed to be okay, like the owner of the Monaco and Polara.

How many years before?

Was he still paying?

Just mind boggling

The building rotted and the roof collapsed under a heavy snow load. It was open to the elements a few years before the owner of the property decided to clean the building out. The car was in there since the early 1990s.

Looks like the rear bumper just rotted off, I’d doubt it would have been a cheap resto. Still a shame though, big time.

There is a guy around the corner from me that has 2 Mopars rotting in his driveway... Same idea. Someday I'll restore them...someday never comes and the cars only get worse sitting outside for 20+ years.

One is an orange 72 340 Duster with no motor, and behind it is a white 72 'Cuda. No idea what the Cuda has in it. Just freakin sad to see people do this to such historic cars.

I'm not kicking as high these days. Had some hardware added and have considerable pain yet and some possibly permanent nerve damage. Still can't put in a full day, or my right leg starts buckling and it gets difficult to walk. Definitely better than before the surgery, so walking at all is a good thing... :)

Hey has2be, I’ve been thinking about you lately. I was hoping you’d just gotten lost in your garage...

Your X-ray looks painful but I’m glad you’re feeling better.

Ouch! That looks like something hurts.

You've been missed ....

I'll try to be a pest more often... May even hijack this thread...

Here's my latest Mopar acquisition to replace my car daily driver. A lot easier to get in and out of, vs a car. It has a new transmission, new tires and has never had any rust. Have a nice set of refurbished SS/T wheels for it, but the tires on the truck are a bit too narrow for a 9" wheel, so I'll wait until I need tires to put them on.

I got the truck from south of Pueblo CO.
