Upgraded my wheels and tires today. Went from the 205/60/14’s to Magnum 500’s with 255/60/15 in the back and 235/60/15 in the front. Daddy Likey!

looks nice. i was the guy at red robin taking about c cody interriors when i had my 06 mustang

You can fit 275's as it sits, backspacing need to be correct though. I have 275's on a car, and they still look small too.
I had a hell of a time getting the 255’s under there with the body jacked up and the rear all the way down. Not sure that backspacing was the problem or would allow me to get the wider tires into the wheel opening.

Yeah, it's a wiggle game to fit them, I don't honestly remember how I positioned the wheel, but they fit. I've had both 14" and 15" wheels mounted on the car.

Not something you would do to your car, but just a reference to making more room. Fit 295/65 Mickey Thompsons with a B-body width Dana and moved the leaf springs inward .750". The wheel houses are untouched.

Just like on an A body car. I'm a little jealous of you, I'd love to put a wider rear tire on the car.

I owned this New Yorker for over 20 years, but it now belongs to my cousin. He has had everything to finish the Indy headed 493 for some time, but he keeps putting it on the back burner. I did the paint and body, and all the parts searching and selecting to make a combo that should clear 700hp naturally aspirated. I also did the finish work on the CNC'd heads.

Sorry for the stray off of subject.

My personal opinion is that Magnums look better than most anything on a '65-'68 C-body.
