What are you working on today??

Injector seals on the 7.3s are a common failure.
I have replaced the injectors on both of my 7.3 F-250s. One of them still uses a lot of oil and I think its the turbo seals...
Good luck!
Thanks! This'll be the second time this injector set has been gone through. The first time they were under warranty, so Swamps took care of it no issue. This time it'll be on my dime, but it's still significantly cheaper than a new set. BTW, if you ever need another set of sticks, Swamps has the best warranty around. 5 years, 200,000 miles, no one else even comes close (I promise I wasn't paid to say that).

I've deleted almost any source that'd be an external leak. When I first got it, I had a severe EBPV leak. I hauled a buddy's civic on a 30' gooseneck, and I used 6 gallons of oil in about 400 miles. Needless to say, the EBPV and pedestal were one of the first things to go.

Working on the same tank of gas I filled a week ago.
Freshly rebuilt 318 with 3 on da tree and a Thermoquad..
Damn this thing is fun to drive and the MPG is a bonus!

I ran it out of gas, well that was yesterday, unbeknownst to me. It started and died, then cranked. So I now have a two gallon gas can, and I stuck some hose on a funnel, both laying in my trunk.

Got to the gas station to find out there is some gas left in the tank the sending unit can't reach, so that's another fun but about the sending unit not being accurate. That's what I get for stretching the milage, and not filling up when I should have. So I wasted an hour.

That is funny. I ran outa gas too - on Saturday in the Navajo. . . Had to call No. 1 son to the rescue.

Putting the inner fenders, header panel and grille back in the car so that I can keep wiring. Had to do some fitting to clear the suspension work. My custom plate for the stroker came in the mail too!

Coated with Eastwood Platinum Rust Encapsulator... a very satisfying step! They say their product is the best. I've used POR-15 in the past and have had good results, so if this is even better, all the better!

Leftover photos from last night, back on the ground for the first time in a long time..

She fired up briefly but we managed to flood her out so let her nap til this morning.

Started unbolting the booster from Miz Ruby today.

Finished this project up yesterday. I’ve always liked the old dealership signs, but can’t/won’t drop $3k for something to hang on a wall...anyway to avoid the TX heat I started on an indoor project that will eventually hang above my Fury in the new shop. Hand painted and made out of 1x12 pine.

Hi Jack-Stand,
Can you please explain what is this about this suspension modification. This kind of torsion bar over the frame is replacing the swaybar ?
Can you still fit in the radiator and the balancer ?

Is it required for oil pan clearance or stroker modifications ?
I‘m just courios.
Thank you,
Frank

Hi Frank, here's the build thread for my car '66 Monaco Resto-Mod. The basics of why I modified my suspension are because I wanted the car to ride on air bags rather than the stock suspension, and I also centered/raised the engine up so that I could clear headers and a deep sump oil pan. The only suspension components that are stock to my car are the upper A-arms, but even those have been modified to an extent.
