I took a drive south of the border ........ well the North Dakota border to Rosholt, South Dakota about 1:10 south of Fargo.
Nice day for a drive, however it is Painted Lady and Monarch Butterfly season. The HWYCRZR became the Butterfly Slayer. I now know why they call them Butterflies. It is like I drove through a butter fight.
Here are some pictures from the way down.

There is a green 68 Fury convertible that was sold to someone in SD. I know the prior owner and was hoping to see it in This thread.

This puts the little air cleaner models to shame. @commando1

Built on a 4 wheeler Chassis and hauled in the back of the truck. Also working remote.

Great photos...thanks for sharing them!

One of the few things I miss about the rust belt....small town car shows. They have them here too, but it's not the same.

It was a nice relaxing day. About 180 miles round trip. Took two lane roads without much traffic. Was able to cruise at 60-70 mph. Was able to take one route down and a different one back.
Again had to rinse the butterflies off when I got home.
A picture from my return route. I was in three states yesterday. ND, SD, and MN.

A little more on the JD “motorcycle “

It uses an original Johnny Popper. One cylinder engine. Crank start from the flywheel.
Owner had to make modifications to the fuel system. The engine draws fuel into the cylinder using the piston, so the fuel supply has to be below the engine. Not possible on this set up. He had to run the fuel tank into a fuel reservoir below the engine and modify the reservoir with a float and needle to keep the fuel from continuing to flow into the engine. He says it runs about parade speed. With the steel wheels and no suspension I don’t think I would want to go any faster.
Very creative.
