The first time is stepped on the brakes 3 of the lines blew out, I actually took the car for a little drive just using the e brake to stop, going to make them myself like I did for the fuel lines to save money.

A lot of it I learned when I worked at a two bay garage, when I lived in Bridgeport Connecticut, I worked with a old time mechanic there and learned a lot, and he was a true ball buster. He believed in rebuilding parts In shop rather than buying new or re manufactured . He was big into the old 1930s- to early 1950s ford flathead v8s and used to have me

Jon, very surprised to hear about the brake lines. We had that car up on the lift and everything looked good and the only problem I ever had was a wheel cylinder going. Was it the rubber lines or the steel lines? Suggestion. Whatever shoes you ordered, send them back and the next time you are in CT let me sell you some NOS or NORS shoes with some genuine asbestos. The new brake shoes suck, crack early and don't stop as well as the good old stuff. Just my 2 cents.

This is on my 72 fury, they were so rusted from how long the car sat outside. The 68 I bought from you is fine, I am driving that a couple times a every week.
 
oops. Shouldn't read the forum when I am really tired. I still recommend going with the good old shoes and pads.

I've done the bend-flare-all-myself route numerous times, but after installing some repops, for money vs time spent I'll never do the bundycoil route again. Have you priced some of the repop lines? They aren't cheap, but the hand-fab tubing ain't free either.
 
DO YOU STILL OWN THIS CAR? HAVENT SEEN ANY UPDATES ON THIS POST IN MONTHS. I EMAILED YOU AT THE ADRESS YOU GAVE ME IN THE SUMMER AND IT BOUNCED BACK, I WANTED TO SEE IF YOU WERE STILL SELLING THAT DESOTO WE HAD TALKED ABOUT?

I have the SMS vinyl top in boar grain black, new in box (never taken out of box). I ordered a gator grain from 1971 instead

I just checked I paid $695 for gator. I think the boar in original material for PH23 hardtop was $495 plus shipping. I would take $450 which is a deal and no wait
