Are distributor pigtails out there to be found? I tried using a google search and a few or the normal websites but can't seem to find them.
After driving around for about an hour Friday the car died right in the middle of an intersection. After a few NY pleasantries with one car a couple of other guys helped me push her to the side of the road. After about 10 minutes she started up again and I got her home where she proceeded to stall again and not start for about half an hour. I found a post on here from 2018 that sounded like the issue I was having and it pointed at the distributor pick up. When I went to check the ohms with my multi meter I found that the wires close to the pigtail coming from the ECU were a little burnt from resting on the engine block. So I would like to only change out the pigtail if possible.

Thank you. Hopefully he can help or I buy either a new harness or pickup and cut off the pigtail and use it.

thank you for the links, I have found some of those connectors in searches. I need to make contact with Halifaxhops or I found a cheap distributor pickup that I could purchase just for the pigtail. Or replace the current pickup with new quality unit and then snip the pigtail off the old unit.

I have plenty of pigtails from pickups, just the ride I snip them off bad ones just for this! PM ME prob 3 to ship. I would just change the pick up for piece of mind not to expensive 20 or so.

Thanks for contacting me Halifaxhops. I think I will take your advice, change the pickup and salvage the pigtail.

I have some if needed just need to know if you want just the pick up or the whole plate. Good decision, splices are just trouble usually.
