16 Year Old Schools The 4-Strokes

That kid can flat out ride!! He hit his marks lap after lap and aside from the one self induced mistake (thought he was pushing a little hard there) he had them covered. Can almost smell the pre-mix from here!!
Thanks for sharing this. It brought back a lot of sights, sounds, smells and good memories!

I still love 2 strokes, I had a 1980 YZ125 in the 80's, trail rode and just ripped around, never raced. My youngest loves them also, he had a Yamaha Blaster 4 wheeler, 200 2 stroke and now has a 89 CR125.

We also have this project, 02 KX85

My nephew got it from a lady that wanted it out of her garage, this was 2 years ago. It was missing the engine. A few weeks back he tells me he has the engine now also. I have to find a carb flange and pipe, pull the engine apart to see why it was pulled in the first place. Should be a good winter project.

One of my first memories is of my Dad's '82 or '83 CR500 with some sort of giant aftermarket exhaust attached. I remember the sound more than the bike itself, it was absolutely wicked and mean, I loved it and so did my dad. It's a good thing mom never knew of some of the rides he took me on! I remember yelling at him " No! Stop!" He would speed towards "Hills", that looked liked walls we were about to crash head on into. Somehow we always made it up, and made it home.
