Alberta....

Snow was fine.... When I was 12. Why would anyone put up with that?????

Me and my brother use to walk the snowbanks to school in Milwaukee instead of walking on the sidewalks. We were late for school everytime we did that! Lol!

... Supposed to drop to 30 F (-1 C) overnight with frost ...

The change of seasons is the reason. The beauty and bounty of fall warm days and cool nights. Winter blankets your world with a serenity and stillness that lets you reflect on summer days past and to come. Spring bring the hope and promise of renewed peace. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Very poetic .... Still to dam cold. I don't want to reflect on summer days past... I like it summer all the time. I'll take a soft breeze blowing through the palm trees, in the warm, sugar white, sand with the sound of the surf rolling in off the ocean. The only season I need. I'll just look at the pictures, thank you.

Ditto!!!

Hey Goose, come to Phoenix, it's cooler! Funny thing is it's cooler here because all the smoke from your fires over there are blocking out the sun. Even smells like smoke here.
That’s exactly what my daughter (ASU) told me LOL!!!! Enjoy any summer day to the max that you can point to California and laught at us about the weather. If the heat was like rain I’d say it’ll be hitting you guys on Thursday!

So... What are the annual snowfall amounts up there?

We average around 120" annually and even more just east of us in the area called the Tug Hill Plateau where they can get double that.

Average here in the city for the year is about 45 - 50 inches. Accumulated amounts are nowhere near that. Most people in the city would be lucky to have 18" on the ground most years. Now go a little (45 Miles) west of here, where @Dobalovr works, the annual snowfall is 96 -100 inches, and a lot of that sticks around for the season.

And it always seems to come right at the drive home time :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

Go home for lunch and don't go back.

That thought has crossed my mind more than once believe me but I don’t get time for lunch very often other than a sandwich between questions from peons
