Newest 70 Custom wagon

Hey also I really like that hood and the 440 in that car. Mines only the 360 with the two barrel so I’m slightly jealous but I may be doing a dual exhaust different air and take manifold and a four barrel carb because I’ve heard that the 360 can keep up with that 440 all day with a four barrel carb and duel exhaust.

Very nice 71 you have!!! A nice 4bbl and duals will definitely sound good and get you a little better HP. It's been super fun working on this wagon so far and still have more to do. Rear brakes locked up in me yesterday I believe the rubber line is bad so I'll do all 3 just to be safe. And while I'm at it I'll put my Sure Grip in it also and fix the steering wheel alignment is off a little.

Been awhile since I posted on the wagon the brakes gave me a fight for sure. All 3 hose new calipers and hardware for the front they finally work pretty good. I swapped out the fleet wheel for a woodgrain and had a good used windshield installed. Pretty much been a daily for the last 3 weeks.

You've done a really nice job with the wagon so far Manny...woodgrain wheel really looks good on there.
I'm swapping a windshield this weekend too...any tips? Did you use the tape or urethane?

I had my buddy do that owns a glass shop. Normally it's around 100 but I needed some fiberglass work to repair some bad areas. So it ended up being 240.

Subscribed, just found this thread. Looking good so far, what are your long term plans for the wagon?

Thanks!! For now over winter I want to get new carpet for it and some seat covers from a friend. And find some patch panels for the small areas that need to be fixed. Eventually a decent 383 block to redo.

Well before winter I was able to find a nice carpet for 67 to 73 Imperial 4dr figured I'd see if it would fit my wagon. The foot pad is off a little but looks way better then what I had in there and love the way it turned out. Another idea I had was putting buckets and a console set up in her. Well 2 of my awesome friends let me know John was selling a set. So Evelyn made the 500 mile round trip to pick up the parts from John yesterday now to start dying the stuff black. And I have a good winter project should be fun!!!

Great work Manny and very glad to hear that the shifter goes through all the gears just fine. Thats progress! Keep up the good work.

Looks great Manny, that's going to be really nice when you're done!

So im pretty much done just waiting for the driver upper seat it's getting fixed right now. I was able to install the lower courtesy lights like the 71s have and get the console light's working and gear select light. Took her for a drive on Sunday since it's still in the 70s in WI currently.

Thank you!!! I was surprised how pretty easily everything went myself. I do love the woodgrain over the fleet wheel which some how I've ended up with 3 of those now.

Manny,

may I ask: what do you use to dye the plastic-parts, like centerconsole or door-trim panels?
