HHmmm, Maybe if first responders, fire dept,police, national guard were not so busy trying to protect Portland Oregon,Seattle Washington from burning from the peaceful protesters. They could use those resources on the front fire lines.

You do realize that fires are also burning in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Colorado, the western states.
It's just not California.
And when this dip **** in Florida has some disparaging remarks to say about California, i am willing to call someone out about that.
And what makes you think a Florida hurricane can't take out his "reservation" in that state.
Hurricanes are Florida wide, not just specific areas.

I can't believe that there are still so many people who can't see through the bullshit put out by the left-wing politicians and their propaganda mill mainstream media. There does seem to be more people realizing they're being lied to nowadays, due to recent events, but there are still so many sheep who just eat it all up like grass. It's the same here, everywhere I guess, so many sheep just eat it all up.

I feel sorry for the people losing their homes, property and businesses. Of course, I feel sorry for the people who died. I also feel sorry for the firefighters who are risking their lives to put out those fires.

Wait till the tech companies start moving out of state.
Their workers are certainly starting to grumble between the shut-down, homeless in S.F. and the annual firestorms, the bay area is less safe than Chicago and Detroit.

No management of the woodlands in a dry climate this is the result. There is a prevention for this but it was not used. I feel for those that are affected and hope they will be safe and made close to whole. And hopefully will apply pressure for forest management moving forward.

This is the post I was looking for, we get wildfires here in Floriduh too.

Some seem to forget the fires of 1998? Which continued till about 2002/3 when we finally got enough rain to slow that down to our regular pattern. Controlled burns getting out of hand? That's happened quite a few times... duh. I can remember not going out to the Speedway for the weeks of free testing they use to have because the air quality from the smoke was so bad whichever way the wind was blowing.

Plus we are the lighting capitol of the USA, and we get a fair share of tornado's too. Sinkholes? What else? Snakes, Gators, 'Skitters, Brown Recluse Spiders... never ending stream of junkies from up'nort... shall I go on?
(edit) Forgot about this one, muck fires that burn on end for months.
