Thanks, Mine is burned badly, but I have a few irons in the fire for a core.
If it looks burned it is usually just a very thin rubber shield/gasket that is a dust cover for the plastic switch. They are ALWAYS completely shot by now. Some end up turning into a crumbling mess, some turn into what appears to be a melted mess. If you remove the screws holding the switch to the bezel and separate the 2 you will see what I am talking about.
You can remove what's left of the thin gasket with a razor blade or exacto knife. After shaking out, blowing out the switch it MAY be okay.

Thanks, but the base has a big crack on the door lock part of the switch.
