2500.00 Really? Seriously????? OK "maybe" if it had a briefcase of hash in the trunk.

Barn kept most of life. (2 days)

97K original miles. so what?

Motor not seized last checked. (January 1986: opened the hood to see if engine was OK)

The haze in the air in those pictures indicates 235% humidity, a dirty lens, or a bong blasting at full steam for 25 minutes.

It probably smells OK because:

1. no floor pan
2. no trunk pan

so: flow thru ventilation

Just needs a good soaping down with a sponge. Half hour tops.

I want the blue chair next to the garage. Hell why not snag those bikes too????????????????

Sorry for all this but you don't normally see pictures this great in an ad. They just jump out and bite your buns.

Just a giant train wreck of a car and an ad. It will be hard to top this baby.

I am pretty sure I recall this car from maybe 10 years ago now or more - it was unearthed from being buried in the ground. It looks identical in every way.................

What a joke.

so the barn story was actually buried in the ground UNDER the barn?

When I saw it Marty, all that was shown was a big hole from which it was unearthed. A barn may well have been above it at one time.

The color of the car was identical and so were the seats in it and the interior was full of mold just like that one. And it didn't have a/c either.

And the background setting was also identical except for a hole being there at one time........

Note that this car is quite sparsely equipped for a 1971 Chrysler 300:

+ AM/FM stereo radio (if it is original to the car)
+ vinyl roof
+ power steering
+ hood insulation pad and undercoating

The cloth bench seat interior versus the standard vinyl buckets resultet in a price deductible of $81.65. The power drum brakes were standard fare in 1971. The car does neither have A/C, clock, light package (no fender mounted turn signals), remote controlled driver's side mirror, or any other creature comforts...

That resulted in an MFSRP of $4,814.85 (plus destination charge and dealer prep), so the window sticker probably was just below of five grand.

Perhaps this was one of those cars that Chrysler configurated and dumped on the dealer's lot, whether he wanted or not. Or maybe the dealer thought that a 300 for under five thousand was what he needed in the showroom window to lure in prospects.
