Not mine. PM29K1F153996 is for sale on FB in Wellman, Iowa. GT8 Tahitian Walnut metallic, P4T7 vinyl and paisley fabric interior, V1J paisley top. 85k miles.

The tag almost reads like that of PM29K1F258066, another Grand Coupe that @DusterKid picked up in 2017 and parted out. The car currently for sale seem in way better shape -- and it'd better be, given the asking price of $15k.

From the ad: "Extremely clean (...) original car. 360 Engine, Automatic transmission, A/C blows cold, new Tires, all fluids changed and ready to go."

I've noticed that there are some nice iron coming up for sale lately around MN, IA, IL, and WI area.

Heck, I got 3 " is it available " just in the last few days on my 87 New Yorker!

I had that exact Plymouth as a college boy (handed down from my parents), and looked for one for a year before I bought my Hurst/H/300/hearse/whatever it is in 2018.. Funny thing....the Fury went to the boneyard in '81 with eleventy zillion miles and a lot of rust, and splits in the "luxurious" paisley interior.

Here it is, parked at the curb next to my Dart. Circa 1975. If I didn't already have a big C, I'd gladly pay the Asking for this Grand Coupe, unless it's a mess, of course.

Great looking Dart!

Great looking Dart!

It was. The labor of my youth, first engine rebuild, first 4-speed rebuild, first bodywork and full repaint (Chrysler Aztec Gold, IIRC), first "real" girlfriend, first stereo cassette player.... But in '79 I got broadsided by a tourist at the Lincoln Memorial "traffic circle" coming off the Memorial Bridge to Arlington Cemetery on a cold winter day. I actually drove it home to the Maryland suburbs, bent frame and no window glass. Then I found a 71 hemicuda for $1650 to replace it. :D

Oh ****. Had to be a tourist. I've driven that circle and that bridge. Someone had to be a real idiot=tourist to build up enough speed to total your car. Hope you got some parts money out of it. Guess insurance didn't pay much on assessed value.

As I recall from 1978, I never even told my insurance company. Not much to tell them, actually. Instead, I took the 340, the 4-speed and the 3:91 posi pumpkin out and had a junkyard haul it away. Done.

Then I was driving my parent's Grand Coupe for a few weeks until I found that Cuda!

Well, those weren't really "the days". In 78/79 (I forget, exactly) it was merely a used car that drank expensive gas, was hot in the summer, had a tiny trunk, and needed an owner who had some savvy to keep an "old" car repaired and running. Radiator leaked, axle seal leaked, trans pan and gear shaft leaked, valve covers leaked. In short, it really was a piece of ****, but something a young gearhead could buy from the first owner who was tired of it and wanted a new Caprice or something.

Not a fan of brown, EXCEPT when it's this metallic "root beer" brown.......... dig that brocade-a-licous paisley interior fabric with (wait for it)….. m-a-t-c-h-i-n-g vinyl top!!!

"Hang around brown" or so it's called. Looks like a pretty car though.

That is identical to the car my parents had. I took my road test for my license in it (1975). My dad hated that car, I remember constantly working on it. It was always something electrical. That paisley interior was sure scratchy in the summer heat with nothing but a swimsuit on.

Are any knowledgable members here close enough to take a look at this? If it's not full of rust and bondo I'm interested. Thanks.
