Trick to staying healthy is limited exposure. You can't totally eliminate your risk. So if you work with the public they could at least have a enough respect to spew their germs everywhere, your all disgusting anyways, why would anyone want you breathing on them. Respect for the elderly, if I need to explain that, well, hope you believe in god because he's the only one that will help you.

considering that mask use in public is at what 95%, but the virus is about completely out of hand, i would have to agree with you.
My take for what its worth I do not believe in the mask. As an employee I am required to wear one as I have no medical exemption. I also have to ask if people do have one as a retail operator. I phase like this do you have an exemption. Most people will say yes. Some say I'm sorry I forgot I alway have a sealed single use with me and offer it up. People like free stuff even if they hate it. As a customer I wear it because I know that people in the store,restaurants or bars are busy and not many have the time or energy to deal with it.
I can say that I have 2000 or more customers a day and spend 75 percent of my time on the floor with them. I am not worried as I am healthy and would go mask free if allowed.
I will not hide or change my life because of this. This is my choice.

Ive always tried to be respectful of others and expect no less, mask or not. There is no reason for anyone to be treated that way especially in a place of business. BTW, I never got within 6' or 10' of anyone that wasn't standing behind a plastic shield. The biggest insult was her trying to be nice to me at the checkout. Apparently my moneys not contaminated.....
you are correct that is horrible manners. The fact that they did not offer a mask is just wrong. There are many i call covid warriors it consumes their life and makes them crazy panic ridden people. But respect is a choice and her lack of is inexcusable. If I were her boss that would be the old your outta here. Some mistakes you only get to make once.

I know how you feel. They treat you like you are diseased. People have lost their minds to fear. I have watched my country get scared out of its heritage and way of life. Do you guys remember the old B sci-fi films? The hot rod gang would save the day. Maybe that will be us in the face of all of this. Stand firm..I am driving my Newport back to the Old Normal. i found a middle ground. i got an industrial flip up clear plastic face shield. the kind that would be used for cutting and grinding. it's a tradesmans tool so i'm okay with using it. so far it's been accepted everywhere.

How do you figure vaccines won't stop infection or transmission? I understand the disease transmits thru air, but a vaccine is supposed to develop antibodies inside you that kill the disease before it can spread and make you infected. Also, do you have a link to an article that give % of people for whom the vaccine won't work and why? Thanks, Ben

My point was because of these dictatorial Governors. They can and will fine or shut down my favorite stores or restaurants if folks keep refusing masking up just to walk in the door. Even though our Governor’s emergency order extensions, going back to April, were shot down by the courts, her orders were just shuffled over to the the health dept. and enforced by them. Our Governor Whitmer is especially vindictive when she loses and is still trying to penalize that barber in Mason, Mi. that fought her orders.
I tend to agree that the masks are not effective and the plastic shields even less so.

I'm hoping that the events are back on next year. Mask or not, without the big shows it just sucks. At least Carlisle showed some reason and common sense.
The Monster Mopar show and mainly race in Norwalk caved by mid April. Then the big mouth track owner decided to close the whole track for the whole season, waiting on a check I'm sure.
My local track has been open all year. They started "renting" the track out to clubs when big events cancelled. Much like movie theaters are doing now.
There is always a work around.

Many of the guys here and numerous of the ones involved in this thread have meet my oldest daughter Olivia. One of the most respectful and compliant 12 year olds you'll ever meet. She is required to wear a mask all day at school unless they are doing an outdoor activity or eating or drinking. We discussed doing cyber school and she was adamant that see wanted to go back to school even if she had to wear a mask all day.
Three weeks after school starts she comes home with a cold. Someone please tell me how the mask works?

The Feds are also investigating her policy that put covid patients in nursing homes at the beginning of this mess. None of her policies are especially science or data based. She just copied what Cuomo did. You just know she’s dreaming of a Biden win and a cabinet position because her efforts here have left her with a huge budget deficit going forward.
I've said that from the beginning. Cuomo, Wolfe, Murphy, Whitmer, and Newsome were all promised positions in a Biden administration if they helped with the Coronavirus killings and shutting down the economy.
Next time one of you are in the hospital, getting a bypass, tell the entire crew to delete the masks, since they do nothing! Also, don't clean the instruments and say you're ok with used needles!
