So I bought a "1967 Chrysler New Yorker" and I noticed that my steering wheel is completely different from all the steering wheels that will come up on the internet. Also there is no information on why my steering wheel is different. Mines has a leather like horn button and all the pictures I've seen from other 67 New Yorkers have a Chrysler logo metallic horn button. My steering wheel is flat and all the other ones I've seen are deep dish type. Here are some pictures. Can someone please tell me why there was 2 different kind of steering wheels for the 1967 Chrysler Newyorker?

The three-spoke steering wheel is the standard-column steering wheel. No tilt up and down, or pull in and out to better customize the driving position.

The different "center cap" on the two-spoke is where the adjustments are usually loosenened to make the in-and-out adjustments.

See the chrome six pointed "star wheel" in the center...
Rotate it counter clockwise..
Now pull the steering wheel and then push the steering wheel..
To lock it from moving again just rotate clockwise..
Its called telescoping steering wheel.

Honestly I bought it off of my Lady cousin who's husband is doing time in federal prison and she didn't care much about the car. I just fell in love with the classic American car look. It wasn't until I got home and started doing some research that I started to really appreciate the car even more. The only thing is that one of my crack head cousins down in mexico took the 7.2 440 engine out and sold it. So it has a smaller engine inside than the original one. But I'm thinking about upgrading everything even if it takes years. I want a fuel injected engine over a carburated engine and maybe possibly atleast 5 speed transmission..I don't know much about cars but I do know I want to modernize this car while keeping the classic look to it.
