Hi all, a few weeks ago I was made a too attractive offer for my 67 Fury III hardtop so it went to a new home.

I am now the proud owner of a 76 Newport, 2dr with a 400 and 4 barrel.
I got it with only 1 key which fits roughly in the ignition but nowhere else, I can get new locks etc from rockauto so that's no problem, but the glovebox lock/catch is broken and I haven't seen one for sale anywhere, anyone got a source?

Interestingly, mine has the same problem, it only returns to its position when forced, and it has a keyhole but no use for a key. looking forward to seeing what your solution is.
Good Luck!

The latch adjustment can be tricky to get right.
There's a very small window for correct adjustment.
Too snug & it won't open unless you have a 2 foot crowbar or it won't shut properly then smack the front passengers knees when you hit a bump or...
and you can slam it as hard as you need to until the cows come home. It just won't close
