Didn't know him, but watched so much Jeopardy I thought I did. Gone at 80 from pancreatic cancer. Was hoping he'd beat it.

Watched Jeopardy regularly when our kids were growing up. We had a standing deal that if either one of the boys got final jeopardy right I gave them $5. They did manage to take a few five's from me. RIP Alex.

My dad and I watch Jeopardy every night over dinner, so this news hit pretty hard. RIP to an American legend, and we'll be sending prayers for the Trebek family. Hopefully, Ken Jennings fills the role next season and keeps the show alive.

I used to watch Jeopardy with my grandfather everytime I went over there, now it just won't be the same without Alex as the host

RIP Alex. I watched Jeopardy when Art Fleming hosted the show. Alex was a fitting replacement and excellent host.
