Carlisle 2021

he did.

Mike even has his own tent and shows lots of mostly Forwardlookers but some others, too

Why not in years past?

I always bring a lot of cars. This year was the lowest count, brought 5. Brought as many as 8. This will be the toughest of them all, as it will be all race cars, meaning they all have to be trailered. I have a big tent I get on the midway. Spoke with Carlisle officials this week about it. :)

Oh, ok, so its the norm ....

That's the hope, this year wasn't easy. Keeping my father from doing something is about impossible. He loves Carlisle more than any other show. He was going no matter what. I went so I could keep him distanced and as safe as I could.

By announcing it made it sound like ( to me ) that you had half a dozen 1971 model year cars to bring for the event. Because of the 50.

Each year I bring different things of significance. I change the theme each year. 2020 was to be the year I did the race cars, but covid changed that. I brought the 57 300 Convertible Vin #1, 70 Sox and Martin car and Dads 67 RO. Year before that, first every Chrysler 300 built, 1955 Vin #1. I don't do traditional muscle cars, my collection is mostly forward look based. Outside of the race cars.

I got a couple things I am trying to get there with. One is a bus (the Buffalo will be ready but the Scenicruiser will not), and the other is some kinda car.

please, i don't wanna politicize this thread but if we are still horsing around with pandemic and/or its aftermath by then (unlikely but not zero probability especially if this thing mutates), I am just too old now to chance getting it.

Otherwise I plan a surprise or two in 2021 at Carlisle per my long announced intentions. Hoping it all works out. :)

Border still closed and no sign that it'll re-open any time soon...

I'd like to get there some day...it's always something.

IF Ray is going i might make it one day...

Monday is the last day for the 20% off field pass.

Gets your car and 2 people in the show for the entire event for $52.

I contacted them before last year's show and they said they'd roll over my 2020 admission to 2021. We'll see what's going on with the virus and border closure whether I actually make it this time. If I can cancel my room reservation without a penalty like last time, I'll book a motel room now.

Thank you for the reminder. Got passes for Medina, my 1971 Monaco (50-year birthday), and for one of my NYBs. Probably will be Buttercup, my '72 GY4 two-door.

PS: It is unlikely that I will get Medina repainted in the original GY9 Dark Gold before the event, as I will have my hands full with other things till then. I hope that her current stripe does not keep @fc7_plumcrazy away from the show :)

Don't worry, I will buy some red paint at a local home depot and paint the white stripe kinda reddish
