B9 makes more sense given the color currently on the car........................thanks!

That car would likely be a very good deal it seems to me - lots of cool options.

I really hope Alan gets the car so I can see it at one of the Spring or Fall Flings out here................................

Isn,t it strange that there is no Y.. code on the FT............?!

What was coded and when it was coded changes during the year meaning you should expect to see certain codes during certain times of the year at certain plants and not expect to seem them at other times.

Not knowing details like this is one way tag makers screw up and make it easy to help identify fake tags.

Thank you both for posting the tags of those two L-code Monaco ‘verts, DM27L9D280367 and DM27L9D200582 !

Not strange indeed. See the post by @69CoronetRT here.

Thanks for the shout out but those remarks pertain to 70 Belvedere tags. This is a 69 tag so the coding details are a little different.

We are at the car now, it is rough but solid, no rust. Top will not go down, hear pump. Windows went down almost didn’t go back up, paint is a 50 footer. They are cleaning it now and then we’ll take it for a drive.

It's these kind of threads that used to make FCBO so great in the earlier years. Every time a good one starts, I get drawn right back in.

On the way home, first 80 miles or so, car drives good cruising at 70, 75 I start getting a shimmy so 70 it is even in the 75 zones. I’m driving by feel as the speedometer doesn’t work an cigar lighter doesn’t either so no gps, checked with phone a couple times.

Apparently there were multiple other people interested in this car. Good thing I called when I did.

Alan

This is fantastic, congratulations! Good thing you are well versed in the '69 Polara. So.....when does the CHP car find a new home?
