For $3.5k this one screams buy even with the very tacky continental kit, can't tell is that is asking or bid. Paint is passable and leather shows normal wear, air with at least power windows, not really enough info supplied. In the inner city this would probably be a pimp mobile.

:BangHead: WHY DO PEOPLE do these things.. Continental kits do well on certain cars. But a 76 New Yorker ain’t one of em..
I wish I could buy them all...:(

Dumb question: what is the sense of a Continental-kit???

Is it just for impressing the ladies with having the longest...ehhhm...car?

Or is there any real practical use for it? Can‘t be to reach into your trunk more convenient...gets even more unreal to reach things in the trunks farest corner than it already is in stock condition.

I think on some models it came out of necessity for a place to put the spare and turned into a FAD of some sort. Again it looks classy on some vehicles but certainly not the New Yorker.. IMO

Sorry John Boy, but I must disagree. Continental kits look lame on any vehicle, and particularly retarded on this car!
And, to the guy who destroyed this car....

Ohhhhhhh and by the way why does he call it a 4 door?

If he saved the old parts it shouldn't take much to undo. Just need the bumper fillers and bumper mounts It looks like. All the carnage should just unbolt.

I disagree that you disagree,:) I think Continental Kits are sexy, but I do agree that they only belong on certain cars.. so you’re telling me that these don’t do anything for you? What is it with you and Tits and continental kits... :icon_fU:

I totally agree with you but a potential buyer might consider it a glass half full situation. Leave aside a minute the hassle of having to remove that horrible looking growth to return it to normal, a buyer might recognize that the appendage is a sign that some misguided PO actually really liked the car to the point of customizing it. I would compare it to finding an otherwise well kept car with massively ugly pimped out wheels.

Other than the kit, which needs removal badly, it is a beautiful car and colour combination.
