I did plenty of alert cartridge starts on KC-135s. Anybody here do alerts alerts at Goose Bay? Big alert pad there. Bombers and Tankers together. Back when I was there it was not uncommon to see RAF Vulcans taxi by or parked on the Canadian ramp. Even saw one take off. Pretty cool.
My time on the alert pad at Barksdale AFB I only had one alert horn, when the START treaty happened in 91, we downloaded the bombers and put the nuc's in storage. The planes were towed off the pad and put back in to flight service. I really enjoyed my time on the alert pad.
 
No it's on eBay, seems to be a old BB conversion minus the engine now.
Perfect sleeper, ya don't see many 1970 2dr post cars, I thought the post went away after the 1969 model year.
