Does anyone gave a photo or know the proper mounting of the jack& lug wrench in the trunk on a 1965 Newport Convertible? I know the jack mounts in a holder in the trunk, I'm missing the hold- down spring. Any suggestions appreciated.

I just bought a spring at Home Depot. I’m sure someone here can post a pic of the proper arrangement for your car.

With a 70 Fury Convertible, the spare tire is the jack hold down.

Here is a pic I found online. Stand and hook mount similar to sedans. You want a pretty stout spring to hold it all down. The tire mounting J bolt grabs that hoop in the floor. Crowbar just gets squeezed between tire and trunk floor,at.

This mounting is the way my 65 Sport Fury has it. Not sure what they did in other models.

Sedans and hdtps mount the tire over the axle hump.
