Looks like CS23T2C290256 -- a triple black sunroof NYB that was discussed back in August. At the time, the car was listed at CAD 5.5k.

It's the same one that was for sale a few months back for $5500. It's a nice 20 footer, has some cancer around the rear wheel wells and around the sunroof.

At the time, you said that the buyer was local and was going to do the required repairs. I note that you use the current tense ("has some cancer") -- should we infer that the planned repairs have not taken place? In that case, that is an interesting price jump...

im pretty sure the motor would not have been orange in 72 and the dual snorkel air filter isnt original

I don't think it had the metal work done to the car, I would say more of a good detailing and go over and that's it. I posted pictures of the cancer in the old thread of the car but its hard to see on a black car. I do notice in the CL ad that the drivers skirt does not fit correctly, it was off the car due to rust in the wheel lip where it mounts. The seats have been redone in the front though, so maybe the rust was addressed.

I sent a message to the guy that bought it to get some more info on what all was done to the car.

I got a message back about the work on the car. He states the Rust was dealt with on the 1/4's, front seats redone, complete exhaust system, full tune up and a major detail.

So should we infer that the Autotemp II system and power sunroof are fully functional as well (statement in the CL listing says "needs nothing")? If so, given the other work done to the car, and given that it has the rare sunroof and is triple black with all the desirable options, I would estimate the initial selling price before the improvements was somewhat low and the current price is attainable from the right buyer but more likely to come from a European or Australian buyer that seems to pay more for a well-sorted out vehicle than U.S residents in my experience (probably because availability of parts/skilled techs is more difficult overseas and are therefore vehicles fully sorted out are more appreciated). I personally like the 1971 300 and New Yorker Chrysler models more though because they were more fuselage and less squared off in the styling........others might not.

The missing trim that Oliver correctly points out though, would be a problem for such a buyer though since it might not be that easy to deal with.

Thank you for the info. There was rust around the sunroof back in August -- did the seller fix it too? As for the missing side trim they @oliver correctly noted, it was already missing Uber previous ownership back in August.

front seats redone

Thank you for the info. The seats look good indeed (@JBR MA):

I do see a crack at the top of the rim blow wheel, would be worth asking if the horn works.

Here is the photo I have of the roof when it was for sale earlier. You can see the sunroof panel has some bubbling on it and the rust marks from opening and closing. The seller did not mention if there was any roof repairs done to it.
