Most GPS show gas stops hotels and restaurants. So do highway signs
A good dash cam is a must. Not just for driving or accidents.
Leave it on when parked. It can be a theft deterrant if thieves see it on. They dont care about being a classic car---they see opportunity. It will not drain your battery.
I took my laptop with me and checked the sim card when winding down for the night.

Sorry to hear about your medical condition. That's a bummer. Life is truly short. I love the spirit though of making the most of your time left. Your road trip sound like a great plan...on that many have only dreamed of doing. I like the suggestions others have made already....GPS, tracking, blogging your adventure, checking insurance, taking a few parts and pieces, spare gas can, etc. Thats a great looking car - look at a the same year/model/color for sale few years ago while in san antonio. I actually thought of driving back in it to MA. It will be a hoot if it is the same car! Just the same - may the grace of GOD be with you during your travels. Stay safe.....and drive it like your mamma stole it !!
