Pretty interesting trying to decode the fender tag etc.. I bought the car because I couldn't pass it up. It needed rescuing and I needed a therapeutic project so it worked out well.

My wife and I have had a great time getting it cleaned up, replacing all the wear items and getting it back to road worthy. I am still working on it and just trying to figure out what to do with it. I have a tendency to always want more power but this car deserves to be left alone.

Thanks for everyone's comments and assistance on this.

Thank you for taking care of it and bring it to our attention. Indeed one of the nicest examples I’ve seen in some time.

That it’s a Canadian car makes me especially stoked.... the first 67 Monaco I ever rode in was Canadian, as was my first 68 Monaco. I love my US 67 but it’s always nice to see the Canadian cars in such nice condition.

In Canada the disc brakes were mandatory with the 440 HP. There was one of these near Red Deer some years ago. I rode in it. It was a low option car with column shift and tan color.
Old thread but interesting.. I have a couple 68 L codes and sadly no discs

My observation so far is the discs in 67 were mandatory or part of a " package" with the L code.
68 the Discs became optional.
The OP has since sold the car in this thread.
I am currently its owner.
From what I found in my research, Grace is 1 of 57 Windsor- built Canadian spec'd Monaco 500 coupes built with the 440 375hp Magnum engine.
I am very lucky to be her caretaker.

Thank you. VERY nice ride. Yes you are lucky. My brother just missed out on buying one out of AB with the orig motor but in pieces. A few years ago now.
