Attempting to remove rear tailight assemblies, should be straightforward, frustrated they will not clear the bumper, tried every wich way, anybody removed these, dont want to damage them. What am I missing?

Actually just completed this task. The bumper definitely needs to be either removed or loosened and lowered by a good 2" or so. The bezels have a lower lip that tucks in behind the bumper.

Thanks very much, I was begining to think somehow the the side piece might split apart. Was hoping to send out the bezels for re-chroming tomorrow, I will lower the bumper next year, thats the price we pay for having fancy rear taillights. Take care!

Yes I have had mine off several times. I generally completely remove the bumper bolts on the side which I want to gain access to the lense, and then loosen the other side until it is low enough to remove. It makes a quicker job if you don't complete remove the bumper.

If you are happy with the re-chroming share the company you used here. It really makes a big difference having it done.

The company that did mine did a great job but told me not to refer anyone to them. I guess they were a real pain to do.
