What color should i paint my 67 sport fury

Will: What you say is true, except I don't think a correctly done paint job - like you describe - could be done for anywhere near $8K. I think it would cost at least double that amount and maybe more.

Your right Rip..... I was being optimistic.
I also did not mention that after all the expense of a color change, no matter how it's done, will not increase the cars value. If done right it may maintain present value, if not it will decrease in value.
The serious Mopar buyers tend to be the purest's. Value is not everything, but it doesn't hurt to protect your investment as much as possible.
Obviously, my vote is for the OEM yellow.

As someone has already stated..... It's your car, screw it up however you like! :poke:

Sorry but I always get a chuckle when someone asks what color they should paint their car. It's such a personal preference, that's why there's a million shades out there. If you want to go by popular vote, here' the latest-
black was the best-selling car color in 2019, accounting for 22.25 percent of sales, followed closely by white at 19.34 percent of sales, gray (17.63 percent), and silver (14.64 percent).

Although I'm no great fan of pale yellow, I'm with bluefury361, leave it OEM.

Regardless, here's some more '67 literature that may help-

And that is why new cars are so boring. Black, white, and gray. All the colors of a boring rainbow. It's like watching TV in the 50's.

Silver is just bright gray.

thanks for the color chart rapidtrans. Do you think the 8 Mediterranean blue would be the closest to the 70's b5 blue.

There are different shades of B5 blue. There's '69-'70 EB5, '71-'73 GB5 and KB5 '74-?. Going by photographic memories I would say Code "8" Mediterranean blue would be closest to '71-'73 GB5.

Personally I would do what "Big_John" suggested and buy a "factory pack" paint and worry about a factory colour in the future.

Summit Racing has economical paints also...Automotive Paint & Finishing Supplies at Summit Racing

Well after a lot of sanding an working on the car im going to go back with the original RR-1 Yellow paint for the Fury. The yellow is growing on me an it is whats best to do. I feel like the engine bay is going to be big trouble an never look right if i change color.

There are two types of investments in a car one for money and one for enjoyment. Money says all original enjoyment says do what makes you happy. I am of the second group the car is for myself and my wife to enjoy paint to your liking blue is cool I lean towards turquoise.

Yes I also think the car would look better blueish if you had plenty of money to do everything right its very expensive.

OEM wheel covers or C body road wheels, either on white walls. Anything else throws off the balance of the car.
C body's were aimed at successful and professional adults, Not the young kids and hot rodders.

I’m glad you decided to stay with the OEM yellow. It does grow on you. I used to hate it now I love it.

Back in the early 80s I bought a 69 RR that was that color with white top and interior. I didn’t get a title and parted it. Know I like it.
