1976 Dodge D100 Adventurer Sport, 318 cid auto 2wd short bed w/ ~64,000 original miles.

New parts: radiator, p/s gearbox, p/s pump, p/s supply and return hoses, dual exhaust pipes/mufflers, Edelbrock AVS2 carb, MSD plug wires, dis. cap and rotor, spark plugs, fuel pump, and belts.

This truck is near rust free. The only rust to speak of is at the front of the bed floor at the seem, it's minimal. All the typical D100 rust spots are solid, like above the windshield, floor, and rockers. That is owed to the fact that this truck was fleet maintained and performed service in the CalTrans fleet in the SoCal inland areas. CalTrans is California's DOT.

Truck’s in San Diego, CA

$6,000 firm.

That thing is awesome. I love everything about it. Sad these dont get the respect like they deserve. If it was a Chevy truck, it would of been sold already.

If it was a 1967-72 Chevy it would have sold for 15k. We’re all a bit biased but we all know Dodge is way better than Chevy. This is a great deal as these trucks will not come down in price and this one is clean,

Title is clean. More pics added soon. Pic of the suspension. It has a factory sway bar. Somebody painted the valve covers the wrong blue, not Chrysler blue.

I have brand new van (B series) lower control arms that will come with it. Adding van LCA’s lowers the D100’s 1.5” in front and you can do a rear axle flip to even out the rear. This doesn’t slam the truck like a low rider but gives it a nice sporty stance while maintaining good geometry. The van LCA’s have a recess where the spring sits on it. Common modification with these.

it goes with my two other cal trans trucks .

Oh hell yeah, Brother! Sweet collection! This truck has all new smog equipment too. The guy I bought it from had a hell of a time getting it smogged so he had a shop make it right back in July. They put on a new lean burn or whatever that thing is attached to the valve cover.
Good SMOG cert for the next 1.5 years.

That shouldn't stop you. :poke:

It's a good looking truck
SMOG starts in 1976. I don’t that should be a deal breaker either since it’s not like smogging a 80’s, 90’s, or 00’s car or truck. I think it’s only a visual inspection and the sniffer checks to see if you’re running rich.

jp8 sorry no smog wagons for me . so you just bought it , just flipping it . why ?

I bought it because I have always loved the 70’s D100’s and Ramcharger/traildusters, especially the ones without stacked headlights. This thing was super clean and has minimal rust. I’ve come close to buying others before but they seemed to always have rust above the windshield and have dented up grilles.
I have a Plymouth Valiant that is in the chassis shop and recently decided to go a little further on it than what was planned so I need the money for that. If you guys want me to elaborate on that car I’ll have to do it in another thread but if you have ever heard of the Red Brick or the Green Brick then you will understand where I’m going with that car ( think 315’s front and 3335’s in the rear).
I also have a 1970 cuda that I’m trying to build. I just can’t stop spending money on this truck. It’s a great daily driver but there are things I’m already building a list for on this truck and it’s making me deviate from the plans with the other two. Things like a Hemi swap, lowering it, wheels and tires, TTi headers, ....
Dude, the list goes on. I don’t NEED this truck in my life right now. I WANT the hell out of this truck but it’s thrown me off track on my two car projects .

I don’t have the resources for three projects.

i get ya , lots of projects in process myself , i've been throwing bucks at many at a time , slow process to say the least , just bought tti system for my 64 cuda trans planting a 340 into it disc brakes 8 3/4 re , ect..... and i'm involved in a few others all at once . and my resources are thin too . oh ya your pics show a avs 4 bbl carb , thats not the setup its currently has ?

Yes AVS2 Edelbrock. Just put it on last week.
Pic shows top side of bed and underneath. This is where the rust is. It’s not rusted through. Pretty much scale.
The lower control arms are not installed but they are van, B100 arms. Installing those lowers the truck 1.5” in front and doing an axle flip in the rear will level it.
Pretty solid everywhere besides the bed. Someone has painted the valve covers blue, not Chrysler blue. Yuck.
Dash has no cracks.

Just found out the paint color for Cal Trans is “Omaha Orange” and is very close to “Vitamin C Orange”.
