Keep wanting in one hand and pooping in the other and see which fills up first. I would not like to see this guy driving.
Had a couple of incidences that have warranted investing in one. My buddy has one, and he want to get the 3 camera one so I may take his old one. Not sure why to care if it happens past my doors.

Plenty have made 25 years and longer.
Sprinkled in amongst the crap, Landstar has some really cush gigs, most of which are locked down hard by the old-timers. Some are just nice to do and others are lucrative, like $200K plus a year net, in a one truck operation.

He's lasted 34 years with that same truck. Lol
It's an 86 he ordered new. Originally had a 475 8v92 Detroit with a Spicer 6x4 set of sticks.
He has since swapped out the 8v92 for a Series 60 but it still has the sticks.

Longer one is the 5 spd main transmission and the shorter one is the auxiliary transmission, looks to be a 3spd. Mack called it a Triplex.
They also had a 5x2 called a Duplex and a 5x4 Quadraplex which was overdrive on the main and auxiliary. All the others only had overdrive on the auxiliary.

I could actually use a tridrive but not at that price point. With the Peterbilt Tax I'm not sure if there would be much change from $300K.
A little, actually a lot late in the game for me to be spending that kind of coin on a depreciating asset. Lol
Nice to look at tho but pretty obvious that salesman has never had to live in one. Looking cool only gets you so far...
And then there is all the emissions after treatment equipment to deal with.
