That's a far nicer neighborhood in Sylmar then I ever saw when working for PPG Aerospace. Everything I saw had fence around it and/or bars on the windows.

Interesting vehicle. Appears to have an Offenhauser aluminum head and dual carb intake. These were a popular hot item on a lot of cars in the early '50's. There were not a lot of these 4dr cabriolets produced, but given the non original state of this car, I think it is grossly overpriced as a collector item. It would have some interest as a resto-mod or a classic hot rod, but those do not go generally for $50k. Might be of interest to someone with lots of resources like Jay Leno.
