I used to have an old street sweeper truck and it was the weirdest thing to see the other steering wheel moving around out of the corner of your eye as you were driving it.
I really like that car.

I wish they had some pics of the steering system....would like to know how it's hooked up.
My first thought was a chain under the dash but it doesn't look like it, I'm not sure a second steering gear would work, it would be like trying to turn the steering wheel from the wheel.

This is a manual trans car and it looks like it has the column shifter, can't see the pedals.

Thinking about it, it would probably be very simple to add another steering box to the right side. There's probably a right hand version of the box for export and it wouldn't even surprise me if the holes were already there in the frame. Column is a simple tube and the steering arm would just take the place of the idler arm. Easy dealer conversion or easy to remove and resell.

It looks like a brake pedal in one of the pics. The master cylinder is frame mounted under the floor and IIRC, it could mount on either side without too much drama. Again, I'll bet the export pieces would have been available.

What makes me wonder is why this car is still equipped like this. Makes me think it might have been used by a private driving school and not lent to the public schools like Chrysler used to.... Or it was some sort of demo or show version. It would be interesting to hear the history.
