I remember watching this Crime story TV show in the 80s. Started watching again on YouTube.
Great mid century sets, props, locations, costumes, cars, music, and writing. Season 1 episode 4 they use a 61 ply convertable as a surveillance car! Looks like your car Will! Lots of FL cars in this show. Main character drives 300 conv.

I remember really liking that show the first year when it was set in Chicago but the second season the moved it to Las Vegas. Wasn't nearly as gritty or good. One episode they did a heart transplant in a casino parking lot on a mob boss. That to me was jumping the shark. Lost all interest after that. Great for car watching though.

Yes it was a great show. I have the complete set. It is great to watch and remember growing up in Chicago , and this was the time I was a little kid.
Not many people know that Dennis Farina actually retired from the C.P.D., it gave him the edge he needed to make his character believable.

I chose that still becuase it had the wagon also!
It's a good series for background car watching. They had good selection of mid century movie cars for this series. The 61 Plymouth has popped up a few more times. Sometimes as a background random parking lot car and again as a surveillance car.

the cops all drove Mopars.
Farina had a Chrysler 300 CV, the 61 Plymouth vert was driven by the youngest cop and there was a 59Desoto driven by the black cop.
All of them are used and driven often

I've loved and watched that series several times since it was produced. Aside from the cars I like the opening scene where Dennis Farina, while chasing a criminal, strikes a crouching pose with his left hand waving in the air while firing his hand gun with no possible hint at aiming..... And on a city street.

The white 61 Fury is almost identical to mine except for not having the center bumper grill guard.

I wonder who owns the '61 fury convertible in the show

since he was driving i assume it is det. joey indwell. also the man played Manny Weisbord-joseph wiseman was dr. no from the 1962 james bond movie.

The '61 fury convertible would be an excellent canadite for a Christmas parade decorate the car with fake snow on the trunk and hood . Some in the interior then put fake Christmas presents in the back with stuffed Christmas bears sitting on presents with them holding battery operated candles then decorate the car with battery operated Christmas lights and silver and gold garland on each side of the car
