This 64 has a ton of potential but I believe it is overpriced because of the engine problems. Also this is not the original engine and is described as period correct which isn’t a big deal. I would love to have this as a daily driver.
Description
This is a 1964 Dodge Polara, because is was not driven for 33 years, it has only 117000 miles. It has a date correct 318 poly, and a 904 automatic. Very nice interior, good body with a old paint job prior to 1983. The engine needs work because of low compression on three cylinders. Which in turn makes a rough idle. We drive the car about 1000 miles a year. .....asking $8000 or close.....thanks

Even with a good engine, sitting for 33 years means all of the rubber fuel lines will need to be replaced . . . plus some other items due to age, too. After the dramatic 1963 models, unfortunately, the 1964s were "tame" by conparison. A nice car for somebody who might negotiate the price down a bit.

Hope it finds a good home.

Been looking at similar Polaras/440/330s with the thought of doing a 4 door to 2 door conversion.
Would think this one is priced at about double what it will fetch.
My dream car would be this car as a big block 5 speed station wagon.

Hi Willis. I disagree. 1964 Polara is my favorite early 60s B-body. I admit, the oval top to the dash looks strange, but the body lines are AWESOME! Ben

Remember that is $8,000 CANADIAN. That's roughly $6,250 $US at current exchange rates.

Still seems like a high price to me.

Years ago I bought a two door in this colour at the Mopar Nats with the intention of putting a 426 Max Wedge in it. Three kids and a house later I sold the car.

Sounds like it sat for 33years but they are driving it about a thousand miles per year now so maybe these problems have been resolved.

Nice car! Now if that were a 2 door.............................................it would be sold already! LOL

Perhaps rather than "tame", I should have said "more conservative". One of our Mopar club members had a '64 Anniversary Gold Polara 2-dr hardtop 383 4bbl unrestored car back in the late 1980s or so. Neat car. Had the aftermarket Venitian Blinds in the rear window, too.

Happy Holidays,

Would love that as a driver. 64's are one of my favorite years. Right color, nice interior and a poly to boot!! I don't think its overpriced by much, negotiate your best deal and be happy!
