What color should i paint my 67 sport fury

I had a 67 Sport Fury many years ago.

looked like this one.

CC-1 darker blue. People constantly mistook it for a convertible. Also more people asked me if I wanted to sell than any other I ever drove.

OEM wheel covers or C body road wheels, either on white walls. Anything else throws off the balance of the car.
C body's were aimed at successful and professional adults, Not the young kids and hot rodders.
Do you not like the magnum 500 on them. That's probably what im going to go with 15" with cooper cobra tires. Feel free to go ahead an talk trash about it as you usually do haha.

I'm not talking trash about your car. Just the opinion of a purest.:poke: The magnums would be a nice choice, with white walls. I like the Cooper Cobras also. They have more of a retro era sidewall than some others.
I'm happy to see your Sport Fury getting so much love.

Will.

That Lilac looks pretty cool probably not see another one like it.

Well, I know of another, which is also most likely 1 of 1 considering its a 67 Sport Fury convertible. This car is a real "mauve metallic" paint code 6 that's owned by my friend.
The car was special ordered / purchased new by his parents in 1967. He restored the car back in the early 1980's. The pictures are from the Mopar Nationals when it was held in Indy (that 1 messed up year!!).
This was back when we hit the road in our cars. So believe it or not WE DROVE the car to several Mopar Nationals back in the 1980's including the Indy show. And he won 1st place in the c-body class on several occasions!!

The car not only looked fantastic it drove great with 4 passengers and that big trunk holding all of our supplies. Especially what was needed to keep cool out in 3 days of hot August sun....Those that used to attend the early Mopar Nats will know excatly what I am referring too- LOL !!!

As others have stated, the pictures don't capture how stunning mauve metallic is in person.

Somewhere in the vintage pictures from all of the Mopar Nats I have a shot of my friends 67 Sport Fury convertible parked next to the mauve metallic 66 Dodge Hemi Charger. Its a great picture of original mauve metallic cars side by side. If I can locate it will post the pictures.

That was back when the 66 Hemi Charger was co-owned by Keith Arteman and the original owner Cora Case.
Of course we shared a lot of mopar stories over the weekend with Keith since they were the only 2 cars painted that color at the show.

For those who don't know about or have never seen the 66 Hemi Charger (1 of only 2 known) with mauve metallic paint option, here's an article on the car.

found a pic of my actual car.

Here’s a thread for members 67-68 Sport Fury’s you may want to add your car to.

Yes those mag 500 look great as does the whole car. Did you say it was dark blue? it almost looks green there

My wheels were factory mopar road wheels with trim rings that were styled after the magnum 500s which were actually aftermarket wheels.

Nice blue '67! Here's mine with original caps & current magnums. I actually like both & may switch back to the caps to change things up a bit when the current tires need to be replaced. That could be a while though.

Very nice. So that’s a Super Commando car right? Wow.

You guys should post up in the thread I linked too above.

It was an original yellow car but its already been striped an i don't like the yellow at all so i'm thinking medium blue. I love the car an i'm going to try an keep as much of it original as i can but i just dont like them in yellow. So dont give me a hard time about it. (all the nut a bolt purist) lol

My 67 Fury III Convertible is Black, with white interior. Looks pretty elegant, but not the best color for the desert!

Well I would love to see that car in Turbine Bronze Poly

I’m going with RR1 yellow the original color. I’m very happy with it now when I first thought yellow I was not for it but it’s a very pretty color.
