Man 69 Fury's are poppin up everywhere these days. Thanks for posting.

Isn't this a Sport Fury rather than a Fury III? It would be nice if we could see a shot of the body code plate to determine if it is a 383-2 bbl or 4 bbl. That would be a big difference to me at least.

it is a sport fury. you can see the red white n blue on the door panel and the 3 chevron trim pieces on the body below the roof pillar.
which is where the pinstripe would end, not going to the end of the rear.....

obviously a Sport. Many times the sites don't offer a Sport Fury option OR so many don't know the difference.

Could you get a console in a III?

the pinstripe is wrong, possible repaint.

My initial question was rhetorical, as I do have one with 9800 original miles on it. @1970 cat is correct and @marko correctly describes how the pinstripes should look. Here is my car with its original paint on the side (the car didn't get all the love it deserved over the years but it was worth saving in my view).

it may have been possible but i've never seen one. it seems like the floor shift may have been exclusive to the sport fury .

nice car. the cornering lights look sharp on these. do you have any close ups of the pinstripe? it looks larger and farther apart than some i've seen and i was wondering if it differed by assembly plant or ?

Man that’s nice. If I ever get to CA, which is very unlikely, I would love to see your collection in person.

I agree, those Accent Stripes look black but there suppose to be green and of course they run all the way back the quarters but SF accent strips ran into the front chevron and stopped there.

That being said, it still looks like it's worth every penny of$8,500 even if it's a 2bbl IMO

I don't have a photo that shows the total width of the stripes any better at the moment but I do have an image of the body code plate, which shows the Belvidere, Illinois Plant and the production schedule date:

Thanks for all the positive comments. This particular car struck me initially due to its really low miles, but after looking at the great color combinations inside and out, the really neat body lines, the detailing of the trim/stripes and the good looks of the Sport Fury grille compared to the cheaper look of the lower line grilles plus the enhanced tail light treatment, I was smitten. The turning lamps and bumper guards and emblem details on the body made it go over the top for me. But what caused me to push the buy it now button was the wheel covers - I just couldn't believe those fancy covers could be for a Plymouth!

Whoever was responsible (besides Elwood Engle) for the overall looks of the fuselage 1969-70-71 Sport Fury Plymouths knew how to get them right.

But then, for me at least, the same was true for the Dodge Boys and the Chrysler guys too. They are all just home runs.

Maybe because I was actually there in Highland Park when all of these were coming off the assembly lines that affected me more than I realize and made me crazy all these years (I started at Chrysler in 1969 when I was only a 22 year old impressionable punk kid). I recall going to lunch many times with the Holley representative Gary Congden stationed on site in the fuel systems lab that I also worked in that helped fuel the fire. His assigned car was a two door 1971 Chrysler 300 Tahitian walnut brown exterior/interior sunroof car that we went to lunch in many times. Maybe that is why I love the 71 300s the most, as that car was stunningly perfect to me. I still wonder whether the Tahitian Walnut sunroof that I bought out of Colorado a number of years ago could be that exact same car - after all, how many of those sunroof cars could have been made in that exact color combo with all the same options that I recall? Could it be?!!

This same car is shown on the sun roof website: https://moparsunroofregistry.files.wordpress.com/2016/12/sunroof1971chryslercars1.pdf

It is the last car on the third page..................
